Clone to Steal Eggs Getting Started Guide

From first login to Magia Yeti, clone upgrades, and a clean mid-game Cash loop.

Getting Started

Clone to Steal Eggs is a Roblox simulation from xFrozen x Dudes that remixes the egg-steal genre around clone automation. You still care about Speed, eggs, pets, and Cash, but most of the running is delegated to clones while you train, upgrade, and decide which eggs deserve pen space. This beginner guide is the day-one route we recommend after researching current codes, Sportskeeda’s overview, and real progression footage.

What you are trying to do

Your long-term goal is simple: maximise Cash per second. Pets in active slots generate Cash. Cash buys treadmill tiers, base multipliers, and clone portal upgrades. Higher Speed lets clones succeed in tougher zones. Better zones drop better eggs. Better eggs hatch better pets. Rebirth adds a permanent Cash multiplier without deleting your pets. Everything else — battle pass XP, trails, potions, Robux treadmills — is fuel for that loop.

Controls

ActionInput
MoveW A S D
JumpSpace
Interact / hatchE

On mobile, use the on-screen stick and interact button. The important menus sit on the right (Shop) and top (Manage Clones).

First 10 minutes

  1. Redeem codes immediately. Open Shop → Codes and enter UPD1, TRAIN1, LUCK1, Magia, and Release. Full table on the codes hub. Magia’s Yeti (~30,000 Cash/s) is the strongest free jump in the early game.
  2. Place pets. Put Yeti and Lizard into active slots so Cash starts ticking before you explore.
  3. Step on the treadmill. Training is automatic while you stand on it. Buy the next treadmill tier as soon as Cash allows — additive training bonuses compound hard.
  4. Open Manage Clones. Send your first clone at a Starter-friendly zone. Upgrade summon speed and clone count whenever the cost is a fraction of a minute of income.
  5. Hatch eggs. When clones return eggs, wait for gestation, press interact, and keep only pets that beat your weakest slot. Auto-sell filters help later — see manage clones.

The video in the middle of this page shows a noob start that leans on an expensive treadmill, early clone upgrades, repeated rebirths, and high-tier pets such as strong late animals. Use it to visualise pacing, then follow the free-to-play priorities below if you are not spending Robux.

Core systems you must understand

Clones

Clones steal so you do not have to sprint every egg. Portal upgrades raise how fast clones spawn, how many can exist, and how many steals each can attempt. Zone targets require your Speed to clear the gate or steals fail. Details and targeting tips live in the clone management guide.

Speed and treadmills

Even AFK clone players need Speed. Guardians still contest steals, and higher zones refuse clones that are too slow. Train on the best treadmill you own, pop TRAIN1 during long AFK windows, and read train Speed before dumping Cash into cosmetic trails.

Base upgrades

The signboard near your base entrance sells Cash multipliers that buff pet income. These stack with rebirth multipliers and are often undervalued by new players chasing only clone count.

Rebirth

Unlike many simulators, rebirth here spends only the listed Cash amount — it does not wipe your wallet down to zero beyond that cost, and pets stay. Rebirth as soon as the multiplier is affordable. Timing notes: rebirth guide.

Battle pass

Complete simple quests for XP. Rewards include Cash, pets, and potions. Grab easy quests between treadmill AFK sessions.

Spending priority (free-to-play)

  1. Codes and pet placement
  2. First treadmill upgrade
  3. Base Cash multiplier if cheap
  4. Clone count / summon speed
  5. Next treadmill tier
  6. Rebirth whenever cost ≈ a few minutes of income
  7. Only then consider trails or Robux boosts

Common beginner mistakes

  • Ignoring Magia Yeti and grinding Starter eggs manually for an hour
  • Buying trails before treadmill and clone portals
  • Setting clone targets above your Speed gate
  • Hoarding weak pets instead of replacing them via the tier list
  • Delaying rebirth because you fear a full reset — that fear does not apply here

Where to go next

After your Yeti is earning and two clones are running, deepen systems with manage clones, train Speed, and rebirth. Rank keepers on the pet tier list, skim pets for hatch context, and check updates after Saturday patches. Optional automation notes sit on scripts.

Master the first hour and Clone to Steal Eggs becomes a satisfying upgrade puzzle instead of a confusing clone screensaver.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is Clone to Steal Eggs free to play?

Yes. You can progress with codes, treadmill Cash upgrades, clones, and rebirths without spending Robux.

What should I buy first?

Redeem codes, place Magia Yeti, upgrade your treadmill, then invest in clone count and base multipliers.

Do I need to steal eggs myself?

You can, especially for specific pets, but clones are the intended faster path once Speed and portal upgrades are online.

What are the basic controls?

WASD to move, Space to jump, E to interact and hatch. Shop is on the right; Manage Clones is along the top.

When should I rebirth for the first time?

As soon as the listed Cash cost is comfortable. Rebirth only spends that amount and keeps your pets.
